  • Electronics Recycling

Electronics Recycling helps to preserve the Earth’s scare resources and using recycled materials such as metals requires less energy and water than using virgin materials. In developed nations, governments are increasingly legislating to encourage materials recycling and prevent hazardous materials such as battery acid, lead and cadmium leech into soils.

Using recycled raw materials, including metal, cuts CO2 emissions by some 200 million tones of CO2 emission reduction every year. There are also other environmental benefits, for example, using recycled steel to make new steel enables reductions such as: 86% in air pollution, 40% in water use, 76% in water pollution.

  • Computer Electronics/CRT’s

There are affordable recycling services for computers/electronics, cathode-ray tubes (CRT’s), printers, circuit boards, back up systems and more. Equipments can be remanufactured into it’s core components for recycling (ie. Plastic. Metal framework, circuit boards, wire, hard drives, floppy drives etc.) CRT’s and other electronic equipment may contain high levels of lead and other heavy metals. Many countries have begun regulating the disposal of CRTs. Regulatory trends are leaning toward proper management of all electronic scrap.

  • Battery Recycling

  • PCB/Non-PCB Lighting Ballasts

Metal components from the ballast such as copper and steel are collected for metal recovery and reuse. The PCB-containing capacitors and any PCB-contaminated asphalt potting material are land filled or incinerated at a permitted facility.

Prior to 1978, fluorescent light ballasts were manufactured containing insulating compounds known as polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). PCBs are known to be a toxic hazard and a suspect carcinogen.
